If you read our February newsletter, you may remember that we began the month in Washington, D.C., attending a week-long leadership forum. During our time there, we had the opportunity to visit our nation’s Capitol and advocate for important policies with our state representatives. You can find a more in-depth overview of our experience on page 3.

We are kicking off the month at CADCA’s National Leadership Forum, where our members will receive the latest training and research to bring evidence-based prevention strategies back to the Wallingford community. While there, we will also travel to Capitol Hill to meet with Connecticut’s members of Congress and U.S. Senators to advocate for safer environments and increased funding to support our work. We are proud to share that our own team member, Alex, was selected to facilitate the meeting between Connecticut coalitions and state legislators.
