Wallingford Department of Youth and Social Services provides programs, activities and services that promote both a positive, healthy community and develop healthy, capable young people and families. They also provide services for families in need during times of crisis. 

The Mayor’s Council on Substance Abuse Prevention is an advisory committee the Mayor of Wallingford put together to address substance abuse issues in Wallingford.

The Health Department provides all services required by the Connecticut General Statutes and enforces both Connecticut State Regulations and Local Ordinances.

SCOW is a place where heritage, culture, and community come together to support the needs of the local Hispanic/Latino population and immigrants. Here, everyone is welcome to share, learn, and grow together.

Our mission is to love, support and strengthen each other as God’s ambassadors, sharing the Gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Over the years the Trail donated over 2.2 million dollars to many local non profit agencies such as the Wallingford Chapter of the American Red Cross, Wallingford Emergency Shelter and has worked closely with C.R.E.W. (Community Revitalization Efforts of Wallingford) to support students who provide humanitarian aid in areas where it is most needed. Now over 30 non-profits, organizations, and community projects have benefited from Scare Crew Productions work.

Wallingford Center Inc. is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization dedicated to Downtown Wallingford's economic growth and vitality. Our program is designed to engage businesses and community leaders to enhance the vitality of our downtown through economic development, collaborative relationships, business support, advocacy, promotion, and events. We strive to create a bright future while celebrating Wallingford's history, culture, and deep roots.

Wallingford Lodge continues to play a vital role in our community. We take our civic responsibilities very seriously, and continue to contribute our time, our effort and our money to provide programs which benefit a wide range of people, not only in Wallingford, but state wide. Some programs we support wholeheartedly for youths include the Elks Hoop Shoot Contest and Elks Soccer Shoot. We are also involved in the Elks Drug Awareness program and sponsoring girls and boys softball teams, and giving Scholarship awards to students.

The Wallingford Park and Recreation offers over 700 programs annually for seniors, teens, youth preschoolers, kids and the challenged population. Programs include, but are not limited to bus trips, special interest sports, health fitness, performing arts, and visual/fine arts, adaptive and early childhood.
